What to expect?

On your first visit we will discuss your current problem and how it is affecting your life, your previous injuries, medical history and your physical goals. Next, a physical assessment will be carried out to establish what structures are causing you pain and what underlying factors are contributing to your problem.

Following your assessment we will discuss the findings and consider the best evidence-based rehab plan. Treatment typically includes plenty of advice and education, a tailored evidence-based rehabilitation program, and hands-on treatment.

After your first appointment, your Physiotherapist will have a treatment plan in action. We will start will a catch up on how you have been doing since your previous appointment, a  physical assessment to monitor your progress, a re-evaluation of your rehab program and hands-on treatment.

What forms of treatment can be offered?

  • Manual therapy: including joint mobilisations or manipulations and soft tissue techniques such as massage.

  • Exercise rehabilitation: to improve strength, mobility and flexibility.

  • Movement analysis and correction: to improve posture, movement patterning, reduce the load on sensitive tissues, and improve performance.

  • Acupuncture/needling: can be helpful in relieving pain and relaxing muscles.

  • Gait and running analysis using a state of the art treadmill
